World of warcraft patch stuck on updating setup files

the error messages began, and now it wants to start from 0% and says cannot download etc.I have now installed, and uninstalled the 1st 10% about 50 times this morning, tried in safe mode with networking, tried disabling all my other connections, had a look for any stray dial ups and/or vpn's in IE - nothing there so I have no idea why this is doing what it is doing!

This guide is useful if your installer suggests that your drivers are corrupted, as well as other similar errors.

connections to disable but otherwise I've followed all steps. For example there is no old connections in my internet settings to even remove.

Whenever I reach 10% on the installer, my desktop refreshes and the previously temp file shortcut to World of Warcraft Beta changes into a file along with my installer stopping. I cannot see any such folder in my installation folder. On the other hand I removed the 32 file from the task manager and nothing new changed when I retried to install. I get to 10% then the Failed to find files " error appears followed by client crash.

There is, however, one last thing that might work which I wanted to see if anyone else may have tried it - by going into the beta test install folder and running the the standard 'Wo W' executable seems to take me to the login screen - if I leave the client idling there, does it download the game files from there, or do I have to actually try and log into a server?

If It does work then i'll just leave that screen open overnight and hopefully enough of the content will have been pulled down for it to work (fingers crossed)! I am however looking for an alternative solution as the above doesnt work for me.STEP3: try to start again the with Administrative privileges (right click- run as Administrator) if that doesn't help STEP 4: log into your account on the website re-download the client "World of Warcraft Beta Setup" run it, its going to REINSTALL/update the folder once the Beta "INSTALL" screen comes up, exit out and RELAUNCH the "World of Warcraft Beta"that's on your desktop, Updating Files will go up again but give it a min and it will progress and show you the launcher and download the current update patches. It also works for the "Updating files..." progress bar error. page=1 TL; DR noob friendly version: This worked for me, I was finally able to log in after 1.5 days of failed attempts. Go to WTF/Find and edit SET gx Api "D3D11" to SET gx Api "D3D9" Start Launcher.Your solution really did work because i can see it downloading now, so thanks alot man! I have been doing this for about an hour, following each step over and over...
